Yangon is a very safe city, and it is very interesting to have a walk in the busy and lively streets. you will discover the life of burmese people, and the rich culture influenced by the presence of Pagodas, indian temples, mosques, and the synagogue. All the religions are represented.


Just be very careful when you cross the street, the traffic is a little bit chaotic and the cars never stop for a pedestrian.

If you get lost, you can ask your way to the locals, burmese usually speak english and are very welcoming.

when you are tired, you’ll find easily a taxi to go to your next destination. if you stay within downtown, it will not cost you more than 3 000 kyats (5 USD) .
