Shwedagon Pagoda



Also known as Shwedagon Zedi Daw, The Great Dagon Pagoda and the Golden Pagoda. Dagon being the first historical name of the city. This is the most sacred pagoda in Myanmar due to the relics of the Buddhas enriched within. the height is 112 meters and the site has a nice view on the city. It was built around the 6th centuries, which makes this temple one of the most ancient buddhist monument in the world.
